Look Both Ways.......

The volunteer sunflower planted by the birds is putting out a beautiful bloom.  Smaller buds are ready to open with smaller sized flowers.  It grows next to a yellow privet under a pin oak tree.  Looks strange but I am glad I didn't remove it when I first noticed.

Excellent shots... and caption. Those sunflowers look beautiful. There are a lot of sunflower seeds in the latest batch of bird food... wondering now if any will grow in my garden.

I am seeing those wonderful sunflowers everywhere except in my own garden! I need to remedy that next year - or at least get the birds to do it for me. :-)

So bright and sunny- love the sunflowers!

It's a beauty! Usually the sunflower seeds I get in my birdseed put up scrawny looking flowers not the big showy ones, like yours...

I've been away a fair bit - here and there - over the summer, and have got very behind with my blogging and blog-hopping.

It's good to be back ... and enjoying your vibrant colours, Larry. I'm a sucker for bright blues, yellows and reds! What magnificent sunflowers.

Thank you for visiting my little corner of cyberspace!

Peony and Tulips....

The flowers are getting a gentle rain this morning.  It  makes the soil and sub soil happier as our drought is less these days.
