Larger than Life........
The two white tulips that come up each year are small white ones. The red edging doesn't show up until you get the camera up close to capture the great reds on the petals. The actual size of the tulip is smaller than this photo but making it larger than life helps to share its beauty.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

The tulip is so pretty and that flick of pink looks like a painted rose of nature. That makes it so unique.
It's lovely. Looks like it was painted with a feather.
