Cornfield Heaven.......

The corn is almost 8 feet tall.  It is putting out a great crop with two ears on each stalk. The corn is starting to fire, meaning that it is dying at the bottom, and will be harvested early this year in this field.

Nice photos and a reminder that fall is just around the corner.

We had rain pretty much all day yesterday and through the night. It's still very stormy looking this a.m. and our grass seems so green!

Wishing you guys a wonderful day.

I taught at a new school in 1972 that was built in the middle of a cornfield. I remember cawing crows and a hungry field mouse in my desk drawer early one morning!

We have a cornfield very clos to our backyard. We have a very dry summer and the farmer water his field with the water of the river Loir.
I think as usually the corn will be harvested in October.

I like the angle of the last shot. It must be nice to live in such an area.
