The Unusual is Normal.......

I do lean towards sharing unusual views of things and this is one of those times.  My newest iris is unfurling.  The iris itself seems to take forever to develop before it opens. I know it has to take time to grow all its parts but once grown it starts by stretching out the fall parts of the iris.

When it is finished opening it will look like this one.  You can see below this iris the other one shown above.  It is a new iris planted last year and it is a gorgeous hybrid.  We keep getting rain though and this morning I had to go out and stake this up as the wet soil just won't support the weight of the blooms.

So pretty. We need rain badly. Our temps have been in the mid 90's. lately.

So lovely! Here in Montreal for a few days we had very hot and humid conditions but thankfully the humidity broke and now it is beautiful and comfortable, perfect for my long nature walks, which I really enjoy. It helps a lot with arthritis and depression, both of which I struggle with.

Peony and Tulips....

The flowers are getting a gentle rain this morning.  It  makes the soil and sub soil happier as our drought is less these days.
