Open Winged Warrior........


He is a little battered but still in good form.  As he sat on the zinnia he spread his wings to feed from the flower. The monarch can be seen from afar so I had time to run out a couple of times to get a shot.  The first time I went out the battery light came on and the camera shut down.  I was charged and ready to go the next time I went out to the garden.

I am always frustrated if I forget to charge my camera. Glad you got this shot. The older gentleman vet we have calls our cat Rocky an old warrior. He has battle wounds, mostly on his ears, from his days in the wild.

Big and Small...

 The miniature daffodils are so petite compared to the normal sized daffodil. I don't think I have ever brought the small ones inside be...
