And then there is one.....

The nest in the front yard has had various things going on for the past week.  At first the mother robin seemed to be sitting on birds and was higher in the nest. A couple of days ago I liked up and these two are poking their heads out of the nest.  If there had been more of these birds they must have left the nest already.

Last night they seemed to be growing as the sat.  The mother is out finding food but I think they are trying to cool off.

And, then there was one.  I saw on an Iowa photo blog site this morning, a baby robin in a parking lot looking up at a person trying to get into their truck. The back yard deck nest went through this process also but I didn’t see much of it. I promise to not photograph the empty.

Isn't it interesting to watch them day after day as they hatch, grow and leave the nest? We did that with the wrens that take up residence each year in the house outside our bedroom window. I love it!

The birds seems to enjoy nice green cover around the nest!

Peony and Tulips....

The flowers are getting a gentle rain this morning.  It  makes the soil and sub soil happier as our drought is less these days.
