Unknown Future Blooms......
I am in anticipation of what the variety is comes as it is the first time for this iris to bloom. It took it two years in the ground to develop into a blooming plant.
So here it is in bloom. It is a variety that I collected from my parents home years ago. It grew along the south side of their garage next to an alley. I bet they are still blooming there today.

I look forward to these blooms opening. Your header photo is really nice. I wish you both a very nice Memorial Day.
It is sweet that you remember where these irises were originally planted and that they probably still remain there. Because we've moved a lot and inherited lots of flowers from others, it's always interesting to think about the origins of the flowers left behind.
Very beautiful, like Vincent Van Gogh's Iris The same color.
It's worth a wait and lovely bloomed iris!
