It actually is a pussy willow tree that I inherited four years ago when we bought the place. It has been 17 years since the house was built so the bush grew into a tree. The birdhouse is permanently there unless I cut the wires off of the house. The tree has grown around the wire in which it hangs and I won't be removing that part.
The tree isn't such a great specimen of a tree but it is good enough. You can't see the little buds on it very well but it is covered with the soft buds and now some leaves are sprouting when they fall off.
