Bright sun during a drought. Our water source is the Des Moines River and it is low. I was going to water everything this morning but I will wait one more day. I have a rain barrel that has water in it that I can use to water the tomatoes. Carrying water is a good thing.

This photo definitely looks like hot, dry weather. We had two nice rains last week, so we are ok for now.

We got a lot of rain in April and May. Our both rain barrels are full. I use it to water my flowers.
For the vegetable garden we have two rain barrels from the glasshouse roof but at this time my husband fills them with the water from water network.
Wish you have some good rains. We are going through scorching weather. but glad we rarely get rain in the evenings.
