Yep, it is a table......

It is an old walnut table.  I just put a new coat of finish on it this morning to bring it back to life.  The table has a long history.  It was my Grandma Brooks table.  She had it given to her from a neighbor when she was young and first married. Who knows how long ago that was.  She was married in 1913.

It has the stamp of Woodburn, Iowa on the underneath side.  My Grandma gave it to me when I was nineteen years old.  That was in 1969.  She was given a new used Formica table with four chairs and she thought she was so blessed. It was probably the most modern thing she ever owned.  I remember when she would put missed matched boards in  the walnut table  to make it a very long table for family dinners. This table has the butcher knife marks in it where my grandma would cut things up with her dull old  knife. She died in 1973.
