This is a rare sight in our backyard. My wife just happen to see him across the way in the maple tree. I like the composition of all the branches and him sitting there looking around. I took a lot of shots, zoomed in, and still only got this one good one. He was moving around and out of view because of the branches.
Have a view of my daily photos or photos from my past. We all need to document the world around us visually. What I see is mostly what you get.

The hybrid iris has perfect form with two great colors too. They are so much a natural form to be much like living sculptures.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

Oh, Larry ... I dream of seeing a Red Cardinal (I first encountered these magificent birds as illustrations on Pelmanism/memory game cards as a child)! I looked hard on my one visit to the US, but my ambition remains a dream. Wonderful photo.
