The Past.....

The tall pot was made by me in a college pottery class back in 1971.  At that time the pottery lab was a long narrow build that had originally been a farm building, like a chicken house or horse barn. The potter's wheel was powered by the person kicking his foot on a lever to get it to pump up the spinning wheel.  It wasn't easy to stand on one foot and try to center clay on the wheel.

The crochet balls were from my wife's cousin's estate sale.  The are wooden with the painted stripes.  The two cousins who played with them as kids are both passed on now. That dates them to an antique category.  The bowl holding them is one that I made in the classroom as an art teacher.  It is an earlier piece that I made as I do make better ones than that thirty years later.
