Nesting.....
It is amazing as to how many trips it takes the birds to create a nest like this. It was the robin's nest that was up above the beams of my deck. I had to remove it to paint. The young ones were raised and gone before I even could see them. I did see young robins out among the garden and fence. They would rush away, walking, as fast as they could when they would see me. A robin has built a nest under the deck three years now since the deck was built.

The construction of decks or any structure supported by planks seems to be the favorite for birds to build their nests; perhaps because of that change in construction, many bird species are lost in many places, particularly in the cities that adapt to modern and bird-friendly architecture. I'm curious too to know how many rounds the birds should have taken to create a nest.
