Bites the Hand....


 It is more like gouging or scratching the hand that a rose does to the gardener.  I trimmed back a lot of dead canes from my yellow rose and I have scratches on my hands and a big gouge  on my right arm. Yes I do know that I should have been wearing gloves. 


The yellow rose hasn't looked any better after I pulled out the dead canes. It is said  many times that the best time to trim is when your tool is sharp and ready to go.
