The sound of jets going over is not uncommon. Sometimes I just turn and shoot and take a chance of what I am taking. The passenger jet is headed for the Des Moines Airport coming from the north, probably from Minneapolis. I have lived here long enough that I sometimes don't notice them flying over and yet the late night ones tend to come in at a lower level and that sound you can't ignore.
