I believe you are in southern Iowa -- which is a whole different world from north Iowa! Up here (in the Ames area) I have not seen many tulips yet - a few but most have not bloomed.
I have not mowed my lawn yet but probably will over the weekend.

I live in two zones really. We can be warmer than areas east and west of us and then we can easily slip back into the colder zone. When you look at the zones map we are in one of those projectile shaped areas that can't make up whether we are zone four or five.
Yes, it is nice to see green. I hope your wind subsides and you get some warmer temps!
I love that fresh first green of the season! We have barberry's too!
