As the redbud tree matures you can see that its trunk has become large. The many far reaching branches need a good base and the trunk of this tree proves to be strong and beautiful too. I had to trim the many branches last year as we could not see out of the window because it was so dense. Once it was trimmed it didn't look like I had done much to it.

Redbuds are lovely trees.

Don't know much about redbuds but have a whole shelter belt of red dogwoods which give a nice red for winter interest....:)
