The apple harvest at this point means picking them up off of the ground. It really isn't time to pick them off the tree but the trees are dropping them right now.

Already I am tired of shifting apples from the lawn. The trees are shedding them so quickly.

Oh boy. How I love apple pie. The orchard near here starts having Jonagold apples in late August. I look forward to those as a snack. Apples seem to help John's blood sugar from going too low about mid afternoon.
Lillie, who recently passed away, had apple trees in her back yard and always shared with mother. I can close my eyes and smell the fragrance of apple pie in the oven!
I love the smell of ripe apples on the trees. Reminds me of Granny's apple and peach trees. I always enjoy your photos.
