The first bud to open looked like this last evening. It will spread out to be an open bloom looking more like a poppy flower.

We did not get the rain that they predicted. The clouds slid by us to the west leaving high and dry again.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...
