Creeping Bellflower......

This is an addition for today of the flower bed of this invasive plant. I mow it so it stays back. Last year we had a different spring and most of it didn't come up until late and then ten percent of it spiked flowers. It was a strange year. This year the rain has really encouraged it to bloom greatly.

Larry, I think it is very pretty, if you can control it by mowing it and you have it in part of your yard that doesn't do well with other plants..hey..that's a good deal! The Lady Slippers were awesome, I would miss them if we didn't live in Minnesota! I also had five yellow Lady Slippers that bloomed along my back driveway..up by two blooms from last year..but the Poison Ivy is so bad..hope I didn't get any.. I will be going out again one of these days..to photograph that Hillside again..:)

Larry, can you do a close up photo? I kinda looks like creeping bellflower. Not good.

Yes, I know it isn't good. But in our climate and on my big two lots it stays at bay. I mow it to keep it from taking the yard, but at the back of the house I don't dare water it. If I leave it alone, the hot southern side of the house really shuts it down. The close up is the next blog back and Far Side from Minnesota did check it out and gave me the word on it, creepy creeping bellflower.

Peony and Tulips....

The flowers are getting a gentle rain this morning.  It  makes the soil and sub soil happier as our drought is less these days.
