Field lilies.......
I am now seeing these growing in the ditches along the highways. After spending a half hour with a lily encyclopedia, I couldn't find this variety in there. Does any one know if they are actually like a wild flower? I know the coneflower grew all over Iowa when it was a prairie over two hundred years ago.

They are some different varieties of Lilies. Mines are tall and white. I could not see them this year.
We have called them "field lilies" for as long as I can remember...I have several in my yard and along my sidewalk...love them!
