Oh yes, we have no bananas.....

we have no bananas today!!!!

The banana tree is doing well but I don't think they are ready for picking just yet.

Sometimes you can see the large bloom on the plant but it hasn't opened yet.

I have the same thing in my garden. My banana trees have some small bananas and the blossoms do never open and the tree dies. We cut them and many others grow the year after. I love my banantrees.

It's nice to see the banana tree with bananas. Banana is one of our favorite fruits.

Larry, I love the banana foliage and how you captured it. We started with one small plant and found it overwintered here in Oregon and from there have made many divisions, shared some with others and placed a few around other parts of our garden. One year we in fact had a small clump of (black) bananas; of course, they never ripened. ;) Hope your week is a good one. Diana

Hi Larry

Banana trees are so lush and tropical...we have them all around us here in Kauai...the neighbour has a giant stalk ripening at his front door.

In Au plastic bags are tied over the green fruit on banana plantations so that the fruit bats don't steal the ripening fruit.

Happy days
