I don't know the technical terms for these but I know the common name is a moth orchid. The white one above is a moth orchid too as you can see these two have the same petal formations. This is the most patterned moth orchid that I have ever seen.

I can't explain it, Larry, but the moth orchid photo is calling to something deep in my past - something in that vermillion colour. Wow!
P.S. you should paint a huge version of that boat orchid...it would be gorgeous on a huge canvas!!!

Congratulations on your one year blogiversary. The orchids are lovely, but, you know I like the all white one best.

Orchids are lovely. I have a photographer friend that sometimes takes me to my favorite nursery/garden center...she takes pictures and I shop for plastic herbs, haha!
