Peony and Tulips....
The flowers are getting a gentle rain this morning. It makes the soil and sub soil happier as our drought is less these days.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

You do have a wonderful blog! Love the colours and composition of this pic - the way the vein of the yellow leaf forms a diagonal.
I like the way the veins stand out on the yellowing leaves. Every shot you show makes me wish I could see your garden/yard in it's entirety.
Nice shot, Larry. I thought I recognized the leaf as a Pin Oak and sure enough it is.
