Another Insect mystery.........
I won't even pretend to know what it is but there was one on each of the orange daylilies. Another shot below.
This one is going to be hard for you to see as he is more camouflaged in the green background. This is one of my favorite daylilies as it's color is so intense and pure.
Katydids!!!!!!!!!! I didn't know we had them in Iowa.

They are katydids, right? At least they look like it to me. :)
Yes, Betsy knew what they were. I didn't but I searched katydids and that is what they are. We have had such rainy season that the insects are doing so well. Thanks Betsy.
That second one is really hard to see, probably a good thing if you are bird food:)
I have seen insects like these(katydids)in our area. Nice captures! The flowers look beautiful.
