I was concerned about the painted lady butterflies and then I thought they probably don't emerge from cocoons at the same time as others. I do notice they are few in numbers this year but I was glad to catch this one.

Great photo of the Painted Lady.. I am so glad you identify them..because I don't know much about butterflies..so this is great fun for me:)
Such a great picture. The wings match the center of the coneflowers.
