A pear tree.......no partridges.......

This tree put out about a dozen pears last year for the first time ever and this year there were lots of blooms.  The bees must have been doing well as this tree is covered with little pears, hundreds of them. I didn't say that they were edible pears last year but this year the tree seems to be trying harder.

It has been a very long time since I've seen a pear tree. Grandma had one and we loved her pear preserves!

I've never seen a pear tree in person. Are the blossoms pretty?

You could attach little bottle around each one so that the pear grows inside the bottle...and then you fill it with pear liqueur. Well, maybe next year. I hope these are tasty.

Is it a dwarf pear tree? They have a hard time holding the load of pears up off the ground. I had an apple tree that was dwarf and the apples were only good to squirrels. They were knobby things with bad spots.

Enjoyed the photos from the art festival. I had intended to go to it but did not make it. My excuse was the heat and threats of rain.

After not going Saturday I vowed to go Sunday. But I still didn't make it! Oh well. Maybe next year.

Glad to see you got to it. I know the Star Wars characters were a big hit and saw them on TV.

Perhaps you are going to the big Star Wars concert at Wells Fargo on Monday??!

Take care.

The fruit looks quite substantial, you may well be luckier than last year. I miss my pear tree, had to leave it behind when I moved house.
