Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

When I enlarged these, I could really see the detail. I've never seen the red twig but was just reading about how pretty it is during the winter. It's unusual for me to see the white berries. Nice to learn/see something new.
The dogwood is at its best during winter months, I like to see the red twigs with a smattering of snow on them.
Hi Larry..You have a new layout here too..you have been busy while I was off taking care of the sick and planning parties:)
They're beautiful, but I'm just not ready for fall yet. One more month of summer, please.
