I am out in the yard getting ready to do some work with the leaves and I see this goldfinch hopping around on the few spent coneflowers. This bird is already changing from bright yellow to his brown tinged color.

I love goldfinches. I didn't know they changed colour... I don't think they do here. Perhaps ours are a different type.
I love to watch the goldfinces and this is an especially great photo Larry.
Lovely, your Goldfinch are so different from ours, our ones have a pretty red patch around their beaks.
