Have a view of my daily photos or photos from my past. We all need to document the world around us visually. What I see is mostly what you get.

Lighting specialists.........with color
Digging through a box of old things and wanting to toss it immediately, I looked down and saw color. I am a sucker to color. They were old Christmas light bulbs from a time gone by. I don't have a string that they could go in and I probably will just toss them. It is just one needs to stop and appreciate color wherever you see it. You must appreciate it too.

Teddy's legs are a little short for this big wheel but he still likes sitting on it. These shots were buried in my files and this one...

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

I do remember these and the colors are just as brilliant as I remember.
They are old ones for sure..although I do have an outside stringer that has these style bulbs..all red of course:)
Yes, lovely colours. You can't get such things these days : I suppose they are seen as being far too energy inefficient.
I wouldn't throw them away either. They look good displayed in bowls at Christmas. Agree with you about colour!
One of my favorite Christmas memories is testing and replacing the colored bulbs in the light strings. I still think the old fashioned lights and decorations are the prettiest. Those bulbs sure got hot, didn't they?
The ends of my fingers twinged when you said that. I can remember getting burned on the Christmas lights so often.
