The spent phlox stems and leaves show a welcome of color under all that white coating. By spring I will need to get them trimmed back ready for the new green. Spring seems a long time away and yet it is coming.

I pulled back the mulch from around my phlox. Way down next to the ground, I can see the tiniest bit of green.
I can see that touch of green peeking through the snow.
Spring is not here yet..I like your new header Larry..very nice! I hope you are resting and relaxing some this weekend..we are suppose to be getting a storm tonight..it is snowing now:)
It wont' be long! I heard a bird this morning singing his heart out!
