Have a view of my daily photos or photos from my past. We all need to document the world around us visually. What I see is mostly what you get.

The Redbud Tree..........
I planted this redbud tree in front of a picture window so my father in law could see it bloom in the spring. He lived with us for almost 7 years and he supervised the planting of three trees. This was one of them. He also watched as I planted a chokecherry tree and a maple tree. He loved trees and had them planted all around his house.
The tree in the photo is growing so large that I will need to trim the lower branches. The tree blocks the view as we look out of the window. I think that it is big enough that I can remove the bottom two layers of branches and it will still be a good shape. The golden privet that I planted under the tree are doing very well.
I like how it looks like a Japanese garden with it's low branches and it's bonsi look. The Japanese gate does help to make that happen.

Crowded.....
The tulip was up first but the peony is now spreading out and shoving the tulip around a bit.

Teddy's legs are a little short for this big wheel but he still likes sitting on it. These shots were buried in my files and this one...

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

It's a beautiful tree, and the blue gate really brings the picture to life.
I have always likes your blue gate..nice view:)
That tree is very special because of your FIL. It looks great by the gate and trimming the lower branches won't take away from its beauty at all.
Your beautyful garden pictures allways makes me happy. It´s peace to my mind. :)
