The midwest is on the same journey as it was in the summer of 1936. Evidence of it is seen in all the vegetation of the area. It will probably go down in the weather history books as an equal of the one 76 years ago even if it does rain.

Love the shadow/light on the coneflowers, Larry. The drought here in GA is horrible. We are seeing an increase in prices at the grocery store already.
Rain is forecast here today. I hope we all get some relief.

So dry here in Indiana and destroying the corn crop. I am afraid this will detract from the fall color, too!
