I trimmed the lower branches of this red bud as it was blocking the view out of the window. I took a lot of it off of the bottom and it still looks good. The leaves are now mostly gone on the top of this tree and just a few leaves staying on the branches around the bottom. The photo was taken on a sunny day and it really did increase the contrast between the branches and leaves.
