During the past week the sunflowers have matured quickly. It went from a flat small bloom to a large seed filled head. I am always amazed at the texture of the little flower like parts of the center of the sunflower. I am hoping to take in the seed head and put it out this winter for the birds. I will know when it is ready to be harvested when I see the birds start to feed from it this fall.
Have a view of my daily photos or photos from my past. We all need to document the world around us visually. What I see is mostly what you get.

I'm sure the birds will enjoy that sunflower seed head this winter. I know I enjoyed your photo.
Amazing detail in your photo.
A very tasty for the finches.
My birds would love all those seeds... if I had sunflowers the bigger birds might leave the feeders alone.
That’s one big pan of seeds! Nice perspective on the center of the sunflower
