When the matchbox car company ran out of ways to market their cars, they decided to make smaller ones. Grandparents of the boys were happy to buy them as they needed something new to buy them. I think they were actually too small for a boy to have much fun with them. It is amazing how you can shrink them but they do seem to loose their proper proportions

wow! you have a good collection of small cars and looks alike more than our collection. I still have some small cars that my nephew used to play whenever he visits home. Cool shot
We must have bought dozens of these with 3 boys, and even granddaughters liked playing with them.
