Japanese Iris....

It is getting ready to bloom. I use to call it flag iris but now I think I should call it Japanese iris. In the three years it has been first planted it is a good sized specimen plant. The ground originally was a vegetable garden that was well fertilized and enriched with compost so anything grown there is still benefiting from that.

These are going to be pretty. I once had some white ones too but over the years got tired of moving them, thank you for sharing yours.
