A goldfinch was at my feeder for a brief moment this morning. I have not had one at the house for over a year. I bought the new sock of seed a month ago and no goldfinches. I have friends in Canada and Minnesota who have seen them already at their places but not until this morning have I seen one.

These bright colored birds are always a joy to see. I remember how they loved the coneflower seeds.
