Old Jerusalem...
Two years ago my wife and I were walking the streets of old Jerusalem. This was in the Jewish Quarter. In 1967 the Six Day War took place. The Jewish army defeated all of those countries invading them This area was not in Jewish control. Israel was able to take control of many historic parts of the city. This area was demolished for so many years. It was not a place where anyone could live. The Israel people built the city of Jerusalem back after being gone three thousand years. The unique thing about the area is a lot of it is on stilts and the city was built on top of many ruins of the Biblical past. We took one stairway down in this area and went down into a ruin that was restored that was King David's palace. The old streets of the old times were down there with grooves in the rock streets of frequent chariots and wagons. This whole area covers up thousands of years of history of the city.

Informal Planting.
Peonies crowd the iris as the gardener’s placement of flowers seems haphazard.
