There isn't snow on the ground but the dogwood has already change to red. I like the colors in the winter time while in the summer it fades back to gray or brown.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

I found dogwood yesterday while hiking and I think highbush cranberry!
Love the reds, they add to the landscape.
