Hand Built.....
Years ago I was required to take classes to renew my teaching certificate. The class was one of learning how to recreated work of an established artist, living or dead. I chose making coil pot making being inspired by the work of Pueblo artist Maria Tofoya Martinez. It is a process where coil pots are scraped smooth while they dry and then polished with a smooth stone. I initially fired them in a bonfire while visiting in Minnesota. Years later I put them in a kiln and fired them to a higher temp.
