Feeding the Flock.......
Starlings and a dove share a space for a while for some ground corn. A few diehards were out on the feeder digging down in the snow to finding the loot from the day before hiding under there. The snow falling from the sky was so heavy you could only see specs out there among the drifts on the feeder.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

In yesterday's rain, the doves were pecking around in the area where Theo likes to walk. He saw the doves thru the window and barked like crazy! He is very territorial!
Love this, Larry. Sweet flock.
I think we will not get any snowflake this winter but we have a couple of eurasian doves in our backyard.
