Koi and water patterns....

Koi are actually slow moving and graceful in the water as they swim by, but when you are feeding fish food to them they turn into an angry mob. Well not really angry, but very competitive for the best feeding spot. While the feeding frenzy is going on, the light reflects off of the stirring waters.

I love to watch koi. They like taking a tranquilizer. Very relaxing. Are they yours?

These koi are at the Des Moines Zoo. They have an over abundance of these but they seem to do ok crowded. I remember once when I was at the Omaha Zoo they had lowered their water on a large pond area and were tossing large koi into large round waste baskets. I am assuming that they were going to turn them into food for some of the animals as they were not too concerned about what they were doing.

Oh my. This is stunning. It reminds me of some of the blog banners I have been working on with a beginning photo of flowers. Pick a Peck of Pixels has one but it is pretty refined.

Thanks for stopping, and commenting on the blog. Now you are part of the history I am trying to make.

Larry, Thanks for visiting my blogs. It seems we both like the idea of a daily photo blog that is just a collection of old and new images that somehow charts the days. Good to discover another one and interesting to see how others chart the world turning around.
