Jordan Pond.......

I bought a camera at Walmart as a quick point and shot. I didn't know it would do very well but taking it to Maine and to a wedding was a good time to try it out and see what I got for my money. It has a lot of settings, made simple but you do have to go looking for the exact setting from dozens of settings. The camera did great.
On the Mount Dessert Island in the Acadia National Park was a place where a man named Jordan had built a large multistory house. In the early years he would invite famous artist and famous poets and writers to stay with him for the summer on the island. I don't know how they got there but it must have been by sail boat or steam boat via ocean and there were no roads to this place. Famous painters completed paintings there and great writings were created there. The house is gone but the park has built a nice visitor center and gift shop. There are trails around this natural pond and in the center is a very nice restaurant, that served fresh, hot popovers and tea, and chowder. It was a different menu with salads and quiche, and sandwiches but all good food. Very pricey but you are there only once. Well anyway, the flowers were setting on the table and it was raining buckets outside and we had a very pleasant time.

Gorgeous centerpiece of informal flowers. The simplicity is its beauty.
