The aronia berry bush seems to enjoy all the weather we are having. It has bloomed and now put forth lots of fruit. I have never tasted the fruit but I understand that it is very sour. I have the one plant that was given to me by the neighbor so that I can grow fruit for her. Her three bushes have done well and I usually pick them and take them over to her when they are ripe.

My neighbor is part native American. The aronia berry is a wild fruit that grows here in the US. It is blended in with other sweeter things to make it taste good. It has been touted as a health food now by those who do that thing. They have aronia berry workshops and people travel far and near to go buy plants. I am growing the one plant to be a safety net if my neighbors didn't grow. Her three did grow and I give her the fruit from my bush.
