I have had this hardy rose for a few years. It did not freeze out like three other roses did. It always has dead stems over the winter and it keeps coming back. I really thought I had lost it but it pokes its new stems up among the vinca plants and here is its first bloom.
Have a view of my daily photos or photos from my past. We all need to document the world around us visually. What I see is mostly what you get.

Teddy's legs are a little short for this big wheel but he still likes sitting on it. These shots were buried in my files and this one...

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...

One of my favorite colors.
Roses can be much more hardy than they are thought to be. I'm glad this 'tough' rose survived the winter. It is beautiful.
Wonderful rose, sweet color.
Happy to see it is lighting up your backyard.
And a lovely bloom it is, too, Larry. Perfect, in fact.
Beautiful composition, as well combo of bud and blossom! Seems it has great stamina to sustain under any condition
