Gotcha.......
I noticed it in bloom while heading to the garden shed to pick up a tool. It was already starting to retract from being in full bloom. I immediately went for my camera. I am glad I didn't wait for long to take it as within 15 minutes is was mostly crumpled back into the trumpet part of the flower.

Actually in answer to your question on my Fotoblog, I live in Southern California and every now and then I visit Northern California. The two ends of the state are totally different.

We used to listen to the coyotes when we lived in Texas, howling at night, and we would see them pretty regularly in the field. They are all over the place here (and I think in a lot of country as well as urban places now!) but I've only seen a few.
