The Future Crop.......

The blooms on the tree were so many but only the pollinated ones become apples.  The tree has many apples on it again this year.  The wren loves to sit and sing in the apple tree as he waits for the baby wrens to hatch.  Once they hatch I should be able to get some photos of the  bird.  i can't seem to get the wren's photo in the tree as the leaves and apples seem to be too thick for me to even see the bird.

What fun to have a wren nesting in your apple tree! What fun to have an apple tree. Ours pretty much winter killed a couple years ago. SO sad. Lovely iris photos in your header, Larry. Have a wonderful day.

Never seen apples at their younger stage... Nice capture and hope the bird survive well along with the chicks once hatched.

Makes me think of apple pie! The other day when I stopped at the church to photograph their magnolia trees, I knew there was a bird sitting on a nest but I just could not see what kind of bird. She was not happy that I was there!
