While I was taking photos of the zinnias yesterday, I was surprised to see this praying mantis. It is very large compared to the one small white one that I posted shots of a few months ago.

Tall and Short....
At four in the morning and one is walking the empty hallways, one never knows what the camera might shoot.

Iowa wild rose is the state flower. I keep finding evidence of our hard freeze on different plants as they mature. The freeze messed up...
